Preparing for Paris: An Update on UN Climate Negotiations

Meinhard Doelle

This December, current climate negotiations are set to conclude in Paris with a new climate treaty to replace the Kyoto Protocol – one that is expected to keep global average temperature increases below 2 degrees Celsius, and lead the global community away from fossil fuels and toward carbon neutrality well before the end of this century.

In this Mini Law School session, Professor Doelle will bring us up to date on some of the key issues in the negotiations, including: emission reductions, adaptation, loss & damage, finance, technology, capacity, long term vision, and compliance.
