Abstract

The Ornithological Collections of the Nova Scotia Museum have been created over the past 67 years.  Beginning under the curatorship of Harry Piers in 1899.  Acquisitions prior to this date apparently cannot be documented, although it is probable that a small number of mounted specimens without data, attributed to Andrew Downs, were received by Piers' predecessor, Dr. Honeyman.
