The Mineralogy Collection: Operation manual and state of the collection (Curatorial Report #42)

Abstract

This report has been prepared for the purpose of establishing a framework within which the Nova Scotia Mineralogy Collection can be curated in the future.  All aspects of curation are discussed, along with a brief history and plan for future development.  A section is also given over to a list of minerals which are represented in the collection.  This report will increase the collection's worth to the museum, the professional community and the public at large.
