Polychaetous Annelids in the Nova Scotia Museum Collection (Curatorial Report #43)

Abstract

All polychaetes in the collection of the Nova Scotia cluseum were examined and their identifications checked. Of the 224 species reported in the literature for Eastern Canadian waters, 87 are at present represented in the collection. Detailed studies of families with difficult taxonomy and more intensive collecting in selected localities are required to improve the collection.
