Abstract

In recent years the Science Section of the Nova Scotia Museum has received increasingly frequent requests from government, private agencies, and individuals, for information on plant and animal species or communities which are of exceptional scientific value or interest and which may be affected by various kinds of proposed development. This report is intended to provide the most recent information available on amphibians, reptiles and three groups of mammals. For each species the information is based on data available from specimens collected in this province.

The species accounts are arranged as follows: Distribution, Habitat, Biology and Vulnerability
