Abstract
Nova Scotia has a single species of about 400 described worldwide. Regular flowers are five-merous and hypogynous. The calyx is dry and usually persistent. The calyx tube is noticeably ribbed, the lobes membranous. Flowers are arranged in a corymb; producing dry single-seeded fruits. Images provided by Sean Blaney and Martin Thomas.
