Abstract

The keys to aid identifification of Nova Scotian plants are presented. The divisions include ferns and allies (Pteridophytes), the conifers (Pinophytes), the monocots and dicots (both Magnoliophytes). Statements are based on habit (woody, herbaceous), leaf arrangement, floral attributes and fruit characters. Some groups require fruit or flowers or both for certain identification.
