Loraine Day is a Lecturer in French at the University of Southampton, where she teaches courses in women's writing and gender studies. She bas published monographs on the writing of Annie Emaux, Albert Camus and Gisèle Bienne, and bas a strong interest in psychoanalysis. She is currently preparing a book on the work of Annie Emaux.
