Theresa Varney Kennedy is Associate Professor of French at Baylor University where she has been teaching since 2008. She received her Ph.D. in French from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2007. Her primary research interests are in 17th-century theater, female authors, gender performance, and the representation of women in classical French theater and beyond. Professor Kennedy has published two critical editions and a number of articles on female playwrights and female authors from the 17th century.
