Jeanne-Sarah de Larquier

Jeanne-Sarah de Larquier is Associate Professor of French and Francophone Literatures and Head of the French Program at Pacific University. She served as editor of the present volume and has focused a good part of her research on Marie Nimier. In 2004 she interviewed the author for The French Review (vol. 78.2). In 2006 she guest edited the “Numéro Spécial Marie Nimier” for the Cincinnati Romance Review, in which she contributed her piece “La Nouvelle Pornographie de Marie Nimier: De la question maudite aux mots dits,” as well as a translation in collaboration with Dr. John Fletcher of Nimier‘s short story “Un Enfant disparaît” [A Child Gone Missing]. En 2007 her article “Sexe, texte et contexte : ‘Jeu‘ de ‘je‘ dans La Nouvelle Pornographie de Marie Nimier” appeared in Women in French Studies. Since 2009, she is also responsible for Marie Nimier‘s official website: http://marienimier.com/. Her most recent publication, in collaboration with Dr. Uzoamaka Azodo, is an anthology on Senegalese author, Ken Bugul, titled “Emergent Perspectives on Ken Bugul: From Alternative Choices to Oppositional Practices” (Africa World Press, 2009).
