Simon Jarvis

Simon Jarvis is Gorley Putt Reader in Poetry and Poetics at the University of Cambridge. He is the author of Scholars and Gentlemen: Shakespearian – Textual Criticism and Representations of Scholarly Labour (Oxford, 1995); Adorno: A Critical Introduction (Cambridge, 1998) and Wordsworth's Philosophie Song (Cambridge, 2007). He is currently working on a philosophical aesthetics of verse and on a study of Pope's versification.
