Hans-Jörg Rheinberger

Professor Dr. Hans-Jürg Rheinberger is the Executive Director of The Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, Berlin. He is also head of department III: Experimental Systems and Spaces of Knowledge. Dr. Rheinberger is the author and editor of numerous books and articles, including Toward a History of Epistemic Things (1997), The Concept of the Gene in Development and Evolution (2000) and Classical Genetie Research and its Legacy (2004). He translated Derrida's De la grammatologie into German in 1974.
