Esther Marion is an Assistant Professor of French in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at SUNY Brockport. Her article, "The Nazi Genocide and the Writing of the Holocaust Aporia: Ethics and Remnants of Auschwitz", was recently published in MLN, and she also has publications on Duras and Levinas, and Emmanuel Carrere. She has a Ph.D. in French from Princeton University (2005) with a dissertation on Marguerite Duras, directed by Thomas Trezise, and is currently working on a booklength study on intertextuality and ethics in the work of Duras. One of her main interests is the representation of narration, memory and ethics.
