Richard L. Hattendorf

Richard L. Hattendorf, at present an Associate Professor of French at East Carolina University, received his Ph.D. from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He has published on the relation between poetry and painting, considered especially in their unique and intimate juxtaposition in livres de peintres by Pierre Reverdy and Henri Michaux. He is currently continuing research for a monograph on the verbal and visual interaction in several works by Reverdy in collaboration with Picasso, Braque and Juan Oris.
