Vincent Aurora

Vincent Aurora received his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1998. His first book, Michel Leiris' Failles: Immobile in mobili (Peter Lang, 2000), postulates that the famous "règle du jeu" Leiris sought in his autobiographies was in fact the attempt to transpose the paradigm of metaphoric equivalences inherent to poetry not only onto prose, but onto life as text. He is currently a Lecturer at Columbia University and is working on the development of Freudian metalinguistic metaphor in Surrealism.
