James Fowler

James E. Fowler teaches French at the University of Kent at Canterbury. He has published on various authors of eighteenth-century French fiction. His monograph Voicing Desire: Family and Sexuality in Diderot's fiction appeared in 2000. He is currently preparing a study of the figure of the prude in libertine fiction.
