Patrick Saveau

Patrick Saveau bas been completing his dissertation, "L'autofiction de Serge Doubrovsky," at New York University. While his overall interest lies in the theoretical aspect of the writing of the self, his current work focuses mainly on the representation of the Shoah in literature, and in particular on its evolution since the first written testimonies. His publications include a comparative study of Jacques le fataliste and Les dames du Bois de Boulogne by Robert Bresson (Les lettres romanes, 1995), and a contribution to the October 1997 MLA forum on "the place of the intellectual in the twenty-first century" (PMLA 112).
