Dan Mellamphy

Dan Mellamphy, a doctoral student at the Centre for Comparative Literature, University of Toronto, has published articles on "Risibility, Sublimity and Quantum Subjectivity," "The Sublime in the Age of Enlightenment," and "The Gothic Architext" in such journals as the Canadian Review for Comparative Literature and Literary Research (International Comparative Literature Association). He is currently working on the history and philosophy of Mathesis Universalis and its relationship to literary theory, which encompasses his continuing interest in fragmentary thought, the limits of language, and the role of wit in witness testimony as well as in textual accounts in general.
