Michael Bishop

Michael Bishop is Professor of French at Dalhousie University. He has written extensively on modern French literature and his more recent publications include The Contemporary Poetry of France (1985), Michel Deguy (1988), René Char: les dernières années (1990), Philippe Jaccottet (1994). He will shortly publish two books on contemporary French women poets in France and is preparing studies of the modern novel and the work of André du Bouchet
