Richard Stamelman

Richard Stamelman, William R. Kenan Professor of Humanities at Wesleyan University (on leave), Chair, French and Italian, University of Colorado, Boulder, is the author of Lost Beyond Telling: Representations of Death and Absence in Modern French Poetry (Cornell University Press, 1990) and essays on Yves Bonnefoy, Edmond Jabès, Philippe Jaccottet, and others. He is the editor of Yves Bonnefoy, The Lure and the Truth of Painting: Selected Essays on Art (Chicago University Press, forthcoming).
