ALAIN CADOTTE

ALAIN CADOTTE holds a PhD in Classics from the Université Jean Moulin (Lyon 3) and is now teaching Roman History as Assistant Professor of Classics at Dalhousie University. As a specialist of Roman religion and Roman Africa, he concentrates his research on the syncretic phenomena in this area of the Empire. He is, at present, finishing a manuscript on the Romanization of the African deities under the Principate, which will be published by Brill. Having developed a strong interest in Latin epigraphy, he intends in the near future to publish a guide for the dating of votive inscriptions coming from Tripolitania, Africa proconsularis, Numidia and Mauretania.
