John F. Finamore is Professor and Chair of Classics at the University of Iowa. He has published extensively on the Neoplatonic philosophers, most recently an edition with translation and commentary of Iamblichus‘ De Anima (with John Dillon), published by Brill (2002). He is currently working on the Platonic tripartite soul and its interpretation in the Middle Platonic and Neoplatonic tradition.
