Jean-Marc Narbonne

Jean-Marc Narbonne is a professor of philosophy and a member of the Institut d‘Études anciennes of Laval University; President of the Canadian Society of Neoplatonic Studies; founder and editor of the Collection Zêtêzis (Presses de l‘Université Laval); and co-director with Georges Leroux of Les oeuvres de Plotin in the Budé Collection of Les Belles Lettres. He has published extensively on the Neoplatonic philosophy, especially on Plotinus (Plotin. Les deux matières [vrin, 1993]; Plotin. Traité 25 [Cerf, 1998]; La métaphysique de Plotin [vrin, 2001]; Hénologie, ontologie et Ereignis (Plotin-Proclus-Heidegger) [Belles Lettres, 2001]) and as well as on the history of Platonism down to modern time (Levinas and the Greek Heritage [Peeters, 2006]).
