Kyle A. Fraser

Kyle Fraser is Associate Professor at the University of King‘s College (Halifax, NS ), where he teaches in the History of Science and Technology and the Foundation Year Programmes. He holds a PhD in Classics from the University of Cambridge and an MA from the Dalhousie Department of Classics. His early publications concerned the intersections between Aristotelian science and ontology. More recently, his research has focussed on esoteric currents in Late Antiquity, in particular Hermetism, Gnosticism and alchemy. This is his second publication relating to the alchemist Zosimos of Panopolis (see also “Zosimos of Panopolis and the Book of Enoch: Alchemy as Forbidden Knowledge,” Aries: Journal for the Study of Western Esotericism 4.2 [2004]).
