Eric D. Perl

Eric D. Perl is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Loyola Marymount University (Los Angeles), working primarily in late antique philosophy. He is the author of Theophany: The Neoplatonic Philosophy of Dionysius the Areopagite (State University of New York Press, 2007), and has published numerous articles on Plato, Plotinus and Pseudo-Dionysius. Recent essays include “‘E‘Every Life Is a Thought‘: The Analogy of Personhood in Neoplatonism,” Philosophy & Theology 18 (2006) and “The Togetherness of Thought and Being: A Phenomenological Reading of Plotinus‘ Doctrine ‘That the Intelligibles Are Not outside the Intellect‘,” Proceedings of the Boston Area Colloquium in Ancient Philosophy 22 (2006).
