Francisco Gonzalez
Francisco J. Gonzalez is Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Ottawa. He received his PhD from the University of Toronto in 1991 and taught for many years at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. He is the author of Dialectic and Dialogue: Plato‘s Practice of Philosophical Inquiry (Northwestern U Press, 1998) and Plato and Heidegger: A Question of Dialogue (Penn State Press, 2009). In addition, he has published more than thirty articles on topics in both Ancient and Contemporary Continental Philosophy. Grants received include a Humboldt Research Fellowship and an NEH Fellowship. Among his current projects are a book on Heidegger‘s reading/appropriation of Aristotle and articles on Plato‘s ontology.
