Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The author has obtained the permission of the copyright holder for the inclusion of any third party material, including images, in the text.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • The instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
  • The Summary (50 words) will be submitted in the abstract section of the submission form (Step 3).
  • The actual "abstract" submission will be uploaded as a Word document using APA format. The text should be single spaced in 12pt. Arial font with 16pt bold Arial for first heading, 14pt Arial bold italic for the second level headings, and 12pt font bold for third level headings.
  • Research presentations must include 5 headings: introduction, objectives, methods, results and conclusion.  Non-research presentation must include 5 headings: Introduction/background, purpose, approach or action, outcomes and conclusion.

  • The Type field (Step 3) indicates the format: Print poster, eposter, oral presentation, 30 min workshop/seminar, 60 min workshop/seminar or 90 min workshop seminar.


     

Author Guidelines

Overview:

We welcome original, unpublished abstracts on a broad range of topics relevant to the identified themes.

The Healthy Living, Healthy Life Conference Proceedings is an open access publication which does not charge authors article processing charges, submission fees, or any other kind of fee.

Authors are responsible for the accuracy of their work and for verifying their citations.  Please review the section policies to determine the most appropriate section for your submission.

Abstract submissions must include:

  • Names, titles, affiliations, and full contact information for all authors.  Only one author (the corresponding author) should submit for a group proposal, but should have all authors' contact information at hand to properly complete the submission.
  • Summary (50 words) -- to be filled into the abstract section of the form.
  • Keywords (3-5)

The section editors are responsible for final decisions regarding publication and reserve the right to edit for brevity, clarity and consistence of style. The Abstracts are subject to a double blind peer review process.  Authors' identifying information will be removed by the section editor before the abstract is sent to peer reviewers.  The aim is to have abstracts reviewed by January 30, 2018 (Scientific Community), February 28, 2018 (Community Groups). with notification of acceptance completed by March, 2018.

Abstracts should be 400 words or less, not including a maximum of five key references, and three key words.
