Focus and Scope

DALHOUSIE FRENCH STUDIES is a peer-reviewed journal devoted to the study of French and Francophone literature. Published quarterly, it is open to articles concerning all periods from the Middle Ages to the present day. It aims to present vigorous and varied critical appraisals in French and English, with special emphasis on detailed textual analysis; it will, in particular, foster the publication of essays of an extensive kind.

Journal History

Founded in 1979 and devoted to the study of French and Francophone literature of all periods, Dalhousie French Studies aims to present vigorous and varied critical appraisals in French and English and fosters the publication of essays of an extensive kind; it has been publishing book reviews since 1994.
