Leonard R. Koos is an Associate Professor of French at the University of Mary Washington. He has published extensively on nineteenth-century French literature and film studies. He co-edited the collection Dead Ringers: The Remake in Theory and Practice (SUNY Press, 2002) and is currently completing a book on French colonial culture in nineteenth-century Algeria.
