Emma Wilson is a lecturer in French at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of Corpus Christi College. Her research interests lie in French women's writing, queer theory, memory and trauma, and contemporary cinema. She is author of Sexuality and the Reading Encounter: Identity and Desire in Proust, Duras, Tournier and Cixous (Oxford University Press, 1996) and Memory and Survival: The French Cinema of Krzysztof Kieslowski (forthcoming). She is currently preparing a study of French cinema since 1950.
