Trista Selous is Associate Research Fellow at the University of Surrey Roehampton and a freelance translator. She has published a book on Marguerite Duras' novels, The Other Woman (Yale University Press, 1989), an article on Duras in Australian Journal of French Studies (1997) and one on French cinema in Esprit Créateur (1995), as well as a number of major translations; she has also co-edited with L. Spaas a volume of essays, Patemity and Fatherhood (Macmillan, 1999).
