Author Biography

Anthony Purdy

Anthony Purdy has written extensively on Michel Tournier, Stendhal and the literature of Quebec. His Writing Quebec: Selected Essays by Hubert Aquin will be published by the University of Alberta Press in 1988. He is currently writing books on Tournier and on the Quebec novel and conducting research into the history of the literary institution in Canada. He is Professor of French and Comparative Literature at the University of Alberta.
