Author Biography

Eric Touya De Marenne

Eric Touya de Marenne received and undergraduate degree in music and literature at the University of California at Berkeley and a Ph.D. in Romance Languages and Literatures at the University of Chicago in 2002. He is currently Assistant Professor of French at Adelphi University, in Garden City, New York. His most recent articles include: "Three Scultpures by Camille Claudel'', Claudel Studies, "Mallarmé and Debussy: Exégèses de l'Après-midi d'un faune'', Essays in French Literature, and "Valéry, Descartes, Montaigne: le Cogito ou 'l'assiette tranquille'?'', Bulletin des Études Valéryennes. His book: Musique et poétique à  l'âge du symbolisme: variations sur Wagner, Baudelaire, Mallarmé, Claudel, Valéry is forthcoming in 2005 at Éditions L'Harmattan in Paris.
