Dawn Fulton is an Assistant Professor in the Department of French Studies at Smith College. Her articles on Francophone Caribbean literature have appeared in Callaloo, The Romanic Review, and Studies in Twentieth and Twenty-First Century Literature. She recently published an essay in the collection Emerging Perspectives on Maryse Condé: A Writer of Her Own (2006), edited by Sarah Barbour and Gerise Herndon, and has completed a book-length manuscript on epistemology in the novels of Maryse Condé.
