Dr. Laura Dennis is Professor of French and Chair of World Languages at the University of the Cumberlands. She graduated from Indiana University in 2000 with a Ph.D. in French Literature and received a Future Faculty Teaching Fellowship at Indiana University East in 1999, where she remained until she joined the University of the Cumberlands in 2001. Dr. Dennis is a member of the Modern Language Association, the Society for Interdisciplinary French Seventeenth-Century Studies, Women in French, the Kentucky Philological Association, the North American Christian Foreign Language Association, the American Association of Teachers of French and the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. She teaches both French and Spanish and serves on the International Studies Committee and the National Fellowship Committee.
