CATHERINE RODGERS, Senior Lecturer in French at Swansea University, has research interests in French feminist theory and the contemporary novel. She is the co-editor of Marguerite Duras: Lectures plurielles (Rodopi, 1998). Le Deuxième Sexe: un héritage admiré et contesté (L'Harmattan, 1998), her second book, is a collection of interviews of leading French feminist writers. Her next co-edited book Nouvelles écrivaines, nouvelles voix ? is a collection of essays on contemporary French women writers (Rodopi, 2002). She has published on several contemporary French writers, such as Amélie Nothomb, Camille Laurens, Anne-Marie Garat and Marie Darrieussecq.
