Philippe Martin-Horie is a senior lecturer at Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand). After completing his doctoral thesis on Jean Lorrain, he started publishing internationally on various aspects of the late Nineteenth-Century Fin-de-Siècle period in French Literature. Maurice Maeterlinck, Edmond Haraucourt, George Eekhoud, Maurice Rollinat and Jean Lorrain are among the writers he has written on. He has also published on the 1889 and 1900 World‘s Fairs. His latest work on the subject examines the role of Switzerland at the 1889 Paris Exhibition ("Bulletin de la SHAG", (Switzerland) 2011, 41).
