Daniel Brandes is an Assistant Professor of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of King's College. He is the Associate Director of the Foundation Year Programme and also teaches in the Contemporary Studies Programme. His current research lies at the intersection of post-Heideggerian theory and the philosophy of religion. In particular, he is interested in the relations between German/Jewish thinkers such as Arendt, Benjamin, Scholem, and Rosenzweig and Heidegger's early religious thought.
