Dominique Poncelet received a licence in Romance philology from the University of Louvain-la-Neuve in 1985, and her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1999; her doctoral dissertation is entitled "Writing and Therapy: Discursive Healings in the Work of Henri Michaux." She has published book reviews about Madame de Graffigny, Queneau, and Proust, and a chapter in Jean Louis Tilleul's Lectures de la bande dessinée: théorie, méthode, application, bibliographie. She is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of French at Ripon College.
