Michelle E. Bloom has published articles on Balzac and Champfleury, Henry James and François Truffaut, Villiers, Zola, "Pygmalionism" and silent film, in joumals including Comparative Literature, Literature/Film Quarterly and Symposium. Her book Waxing Eloquent: Wax Figures, Literature and Cinema from 1840 to 2000 (University of Minnesota Press) will appear in 2002.
