Rose Marie Kuhn is a Professor of French at Califomia State University, Fresno. She wrote her doctoral dissertation on language and narrative structures in the French and German contemporary novel. She has since read many papers and authored several articles on this topic, among them "Folie, violence et langage dans Le procès-verbal de J. M. G. Le Clézio" and "L'imaginaire dans l'oeuvre romanesque de Jean Echenoz." She is currently working on a book-length study of Le Clézio's fiction.
