Author Biography

Gwendolyn M. Wells

Gwendolyn M. Wells, who received her doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania in 1994, has held teaching appointments at Kenyon College, Université de Paris VII-Denis Diderot, and Duke University. Her previous articles on French fashion and female-authored erotica have appeared in L'Esprit créateur. In addition to teaching and scholarship, she is active as a freelance writer and translator and occasionally works as an amateur milliner.
