John Patrick Greene is an Assistant Professor of French at the University of Louisville. He was awarded a Ph.D. in French literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His work on material objects in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century French fictional narrative has appeared in Studies on Voltaire and the Eighteenth-Century, French Review and Neophilologus. His current research involves the representation of means of transport in the French novel 1750-1850.
