Marie A. Wellington holds her B.A. from Wellesley College and her A.M. and Ph.D. from Harvard University. She is currently an Associate Professor of French at Mary Washington College. An eighteenth-century scholar, she has to her credit a book on Voltaire's theatre, articles that have appeared in such journals as Studies on Voltaire and the Eighteenth Century, Australian Journal of French Studies, Dalhousie French Studies and Romance Quarterly, as well as numerous conference presentations. Her research is centered in prose fiction which continues to be the focus of her future projects.
