Marie-Jo Arey is Associate Professor of French at Gettysburg College where she teaches French Literature and Film in the French Department, and World Cinema in the Interdepartmental Studies Program. Her interest in seventeenth-century French literature led her to write a dissertation and articles on Sévigné and woman's space (Cahiers du XVIIe siècle [1990], Symposium [1992], etc.). Because of her passion for cinema and film theory, she also recently developed an expertise in Film Studies (Foreign Language Annals [1993]).
