Hartmut Heep is Assistant Professor of German and Comparative Literature at the Pennsylvania State University. He has published on Apollinaire, Rilke, Brecht, Schiller, Carl Rakosi, Paul Monette, and Hervé Guibert. He is the author of A Different Poem: Rainer MariaRilke's American Translators Randall Jarrell, Robert Lowell, and Robert Bly. He is currently working on a second book on Rilke.
