Author Biography

Jacques-Jude Lépine

Jacques-Jude Lépine is Assistant Professor of French at Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges. His scholarly interests include the critical exploration and application of the mimetic theory in the fields of literature, spirituality, and religious philosophy. He has published articles on Racine, Montesquieu, Agatha Christie, Artaud, Borges, Diderot, and Dostoevski. He is currently completing a monograph on the sacrificial aspects of Racine's tragedies. His next project will be on the analogies between the theocentric anthropology of Pascal and those of the Franco-Russian philosophers Nicolas Berdyaev and Lev Shestov.
