Robert S. Sturges is the author of Medieval Interpretations: Models of Reading in Literary Narrative, 1100-1500 (1991). He has also published numerous essays and reviews on medieval literature and critical theory in such journals as Romanic Review, Exemplaria, Romance Quarterly, Speculum, and Arthuriana, among others. He is working on a new book, Chaucer's Pardoner and Gender Theory: Bodies of Discourse. Professor Sturges has taught at M.I.T. and at Wesleyan University, and is now Associate Professor of English at the University of New Orleans.
