Author Biography

Andrew Brown

Andrew Brown studied Modem Languages at Cambridge. He was lecteur d'anglais at the École normale supérieure, Paris, and has taught French in Cambridge since 1987. His main interests are in twentieth-century French literature, and he is the author of Roland Barthes: The Figure of Writing (Oxford University Press, 1992).
