Karin Beeler is a post-doctoral fellow at the Calgary Institute for the Humanities (University of Calgary) where she is revising her dissertation, "Images of Canada in European Literature, 1800-1990," for publication. Her research interests encompass European/Canadian literary relations, comparative Canadian literature, travel literature as well as nineteenth and twentieth-century European literature. She has published work on English, French and German texts in Canadian and European literatures.
